WINE
At the Green Market we love finding great things from different places and bringing them together. Our wine selection represent one of Seattle's most interesting collections — every one carefully picked for a reason. You can find many noteworthy wines — from local Ballard newcomers to hard-to-find speciality wineries. We have favorites from Washington’s wine country, Oregon and California wines, plus selections from world-renown regions around the globe. Each month we will feature several examples from our wine bins with descriptions to assist you in making the right selection.
LUKE
Cabernet Sauvignon from Washington state. Supple, focused and expressive layers of flavors: blackberry, currant, with a polished tannin - hints of cedar and smoke. Scored 90 in Wine Spectator.
Provenance
Rhone style Rose from California: Grenache, Syrah plus Cinsault. A cheerful, delicious Rose - sweet, savory and perfectly round with notes of dry citrus on the finish. Super "guaffable" year round!
Classic
Organic Muscadet. Light, cool, crisp and aromatic from Loire Valley in France. Pairs well with oysters, crab, and shellfish.
Parejas
Refreshing dry, white wine from Washington state. Made from 100% Albarino grapes. Pairs well with seafood, veggie and pork cuisines. You will say Wow!
BEER & ALES
The Beer cooler is stocked with specialty beer and local favorites - one of the most varied selection in the city. It includes imports, locals, organic, gluten-free, ales and hard ciders — all at very competitive prices.
Rude Parrot IPA
Loud, sassy, and relentless, the Rude Parrot has an insatiable appetite for hops! Brewed with Vienna, light Crystal, and a touch of Honey malt, this golden hued IPA is aggressively hopped with Simcoe and Citra hops. A big juicy, tropical fruit hop nose yields way to an off dry, pleasantly bitter finish.
Life Jacket IPA
Brewed for the warm, stunning, long days of summer in the Pacific NW, Life Jacket Session IPA will refresh and quench your thirst like no other. Concocted with Pale ale and Pilsner malts, producing a light golden hue and providing a crisp, clean and dry malt base for the Yakima Valley grown Amarillo and Nugget hops.
Fremont IPA
Named after Fremont’s famous outdoor sculpture, Waiting for the Interurban, Interurban India Pale Ale offers the adventurous beer lover a warm embrace of Northwest Pale malt swirled with a hand-selected blend of Chinook, Centennial, and Amarillo hops. Interurban India Pale is bitter as an IPA should be yet balanced with copious aroma and hops flavor.
Locust Cider
Bright citrus and pineapple notes with a crisp and balanced finish makes this cider great with any food. APPLES: Pac NW granny smith, gala, fuji, golden delicious, red delicious.
